Former IEBC Commissioner Roselyn Akombe is under backlash after a tweet she made about former President Mwai Kibaki that appeared to be a sublime attack on former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Akombe in the tweet said:

"I do miss when we had a dignified retired President Mwai Kibaki.  No drama. No tantrums. No chaos. Just quietly doing his stuff," she tweeted on Tuesday.

Kibaki retired from the State House in 2013 and led a low profile.

He made rare public appearances including a speech at the UoN in December 2013.

Her statement comes after Uhuru on Monday led a Jubilee National Delegates Conference in Nairobi.

Speaking during the event, he warned those attempting to 'hijack" the party, saying he will not be moved by threats.

He confirmed that he will not be retiring from active politics as suggested by critics.

Uhuru also accused some leaders of insulting others during Church services.

In an apparent attack on Ruto and his allies, Uhuru lashed out at the Kenya Kwanza leaders for hurling insults at church functions.

"If we want to talk, let's talk respectfully. There are experts in that, let them continue. They go to church instead of praying they hurl insults," Uhuru said.

The former president had been leading a 'political-free' life, focusing on his duty at the African Union, until February.

Then, he re-affirmed his support to opposition chief Raila Odinga.

"Even though I have retired from politics, I'm still a follower of Raila. If he asks me we go we have to do it. I supported him and I will continue doing so because I believe he is truthful," Uhuru said.

Following the tweet, Kenyans on Twitter expressed their disapproval of the tweet.
