Azimio Coalition is now accusing the government of targeting to arrest their supporters.

Speaking on Wednesday during a press address, former Defence CS Eugene Wamalwa said the government should stop intimidating Kenyans.

"They have started targeting and arresting Azimio supporters. We had a young man Gaucho (Bunge la Wananchi President Calvin Okoth) one that my successor said he is a lowly person and should not be seen with great leaders. These are the real hustlers who are taken for a ride by the hustlers in government," he said.

Wamalwa said that Gaucho was arrested after he made a statement at the Jubilee National Delegates Conference.

The former CS said they will ensure Gaucho is released by the end of Wednesday.

The former CS further criticised the move by the DCI to label Ex-Mungiki leader Maina Njenga as a wanted man.

Njenga presented himself at the Nakuru law courts Wednesday following reports police are looking for him.

Police claimed they found two firearms and over 90 rolls of bhang from one of his homes in Nakuru.

"Even Maina Njenga, just because he came out to support Azimio leader Raila Odinga and he went all the way to Njambini, they tried to arrest him from yesterday they were looking for him, he has been arrested and is in Nakuru trying to get back his freedom," he added.

Wamalwa said the government should stop using police to harass Kenyans.

He said that President William Ruto promised not to criminalize Justice System but they are doing that instead.

Wamalwa urged police to stop being misused by the government.
