Trade Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Evans Kidero has called out former President Uhuru Kenyatta on recent Jubilee wrangles.

Speaking on Wednesday, Kidero said that, even before leaving office, Uhuru had shown incompetency as the party leader.

"Uhuru Kenyatta as a party leader had laid this bed of thorns, so he should lie on it. The way he has managed Jubilee's issues as a party leader shows incompetence," he noted.

Kidero, who is also former Nairobi Governor, said that Uhuru doesn't know how to handle disputes in a party he has led for more than five years.

Earlier this week, a faction backed by the former President kicked out Jubilee party rebels including nominated MP Sabina Chege, MP Kanini Kega and Nelson Dzuya.

The move by Uhuru's led National Delegates convention is part of his bold steps to punish dissidents and steady the wobbling Jubilee party.

To fill the leadership vacuum created by the expulsions, the Jubilee NDC adopted far-reaching changes that saw new officials picked.

In changes announced by embattled Jubilee secretary general Jeremiah Kioni, Jamleck Kamau was appointed the national director of elections taking over from Kega.

The party also appointed blogger Pauline Njoroge as its new deputy organizing secretary.
