Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has praised second lady Pastor Dorcas Rigathi describing her as a "firebrand".
Museveni noted that she has shown dedication to her work, adding that he was going to borrow her clerical skills.
He spoke on Friday during the launch of the book Jesus’ Africa in State House.
"I am very happy to see Pastor Rigathi, I didn't know we have a firebrand in Kenya," he said.
"When we were swearing in the new government, I was there but she didn't speak of course, but now I'm really surprised to see a very powerful cadre here, I will take advantage of your pastoring skills."
The Deputy President's spouse was the keynote speaker during the launch of the book written by Patience Museveni Rwabwogo.
Patience is Museveni's second-born daughter and the pastor of Covenant Nations Church in Kampala.
Pastor Dorcas has been championing the boychild program, where she has sponsored the rehabilitation program.
In the first phase which started on June 8, at least 56 addicts were admitted to Holy Innocence BPSS center, Timau.
The 56 were identified during an exercise that has been going on in the Timau constituency.
They voluntarily requested to be rehabilitated after many years of drug and substance abuse as well as alcoholism.
Speaking during the event, Pastor Dorcas said she was committed to rehabilitating at least 2,000 addicts under the inpatient program and at least 4,000 addicts under the outpatient program by the end of the year.
"We are going to use every available facility to dignify our youth. We cannot lose a generation," she said.
"I firmly believe in your potential to overcome this obstacle. There is hope for you. There is a huge potential in you, it is only the satanic forces that have been pulling you back."
Through the boychild program, Pastor Dorcas said she hopes to change the lives of youths and make them better people in society.
