Ruto: State to give St John Ambulance land for emergency response

President William Ruto has announced that the government will allocate one acre of land to St John Ambulance-Kenya to enable them to respond to emergencies faster.

Ruto was speaking on Monday during the St John Ambulance Annual Inspection at the State House, Nairobi.

“I am pleased to announce that in continuation of this partnership with the government and in response to your request, the government of Kenya is going to allocate one acre of land so that you can relocate from your current premise,” Ruto said.

The President said that the government will contribute some money in building a facility for St John for emergency response.

He also called on Kenyans of goodwill to raise funds to help put up the building.

“Now that we have a piece of land, let’s work together to see how we can build it,” Ruto said.

“I urge Kenyans of goodwill, partners of goodwill from both local and international agencies to work with St Johns for them to put up a building.”

He added that he will work together with St John patron to make sure that they are on a very sound footing.
