Selection panel calls for applications for DPP post

Interested persons have until Wednesday, July 12 at 5pm to apply

The Selection panel for recruitment of the Director of Public Prosecutions has called on interested persons to apply.

This comes a week after the panel was constituted by President William Ruto.

"Pursuant to provisions of Article 157 of the Constitution and section 8(1) -(4) of the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions Act, 2013, the Selection Panel invites applications from suitably qualified persons to be considered for nomination for appointment to the position of the Director of Public Prosecutions," a notice by the panel's chairperson Shadrack Mose reads.

Interested persons have until Wednesday, July 12 at 5 pm to apply.

The DPP selection panel comprises of seven members including; Central Organization of Trade Unions boss Francis Atwoli and Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission CEO Twalib Mbarak.

Others are Mary Kimonye (Principal Administrative Secretary, State Department for Public Service), Shadrack Mose (Solicitor general), Mary Adhiambo (Secretary - HRM and Development, State Department for Public Service), Roseline Odede (Chairperson of the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights) and Richard Obwocha.
