Secular music star Willy Paul has reached out to President William Ruto concerning a pledge he made to support the creative industry.
In a tweet to the Head of State on Tuesday, Paul said he trusts that the President being a man of God, will not go back on his word.
"Dear Mr President, I know you're a man of your word. Not just that, you're also very God-fearing. Men of God don't lie and I've never seen you lying to anyone," Willy Paul said in an opening statement.
"Now, remember this tweet? (next slide). We agreed to partner and make the industry bigger and better. I'm now ready for the office we talked about."
According to Willy Paul, the pact was made on October 28, 2020, when Ruto was the Deputy President.

The President has been keen on supporting Kenya's creative economy and demonstrated this by launching the Talanta Hela initiative on June 9 this year at State House, Nairobi.
The initiative is aimed at nurturing and monetising sports and creative field talents countrywide from the grassroots and generating more jobs and income for the youth.
"We believe that there is enormous talent in every part of Kenya and we want to give a chance to that enormous talent to be built from the bottom so that we can see it finally at the national level," Ruto said during the launch of the initiative.
