Iran President Raisi to visit Kenya for bilateral talks

The meeting was meant to take place on Tuesday but was rescheduled

Bilateral talks between Kenya and Iran to proceed as President Ebrahim Raisi is expected to land in the country on Wednesday.

The meeting was meant to take place on Tuesday but was rescheduled 

However, in a statement, Foreign Affairs CS Alfred Mutua clarified that President Raisi was scheduled to arrive in the country for a visit on Wednesday morning.

"The schedule of the President has now been reviewed to allow for the finalization of key MoUs that are central to the furtherance of relations. The Iranian President will now arrive tomorrow for a State Visit," he said.

The visit will provide the two countries with an opportunity to review and re-energize their bilateral relations for the mutual benefit of the people of the two countries.
