Azimio la Umoja leaders now claim that their homes and offices are being watched by people in unmarked vehicles.
Speaking on Tuesday, Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua who read part of their joint statement said the surveillance is part of what was agreed on in a meeting allegedly held at State House by President William Ruto and his team on Saturday.
She claimed that the meeting, which was majorly planning how to counter Azimio protests came up with a clear plan to command, fund and mobilise resources "for purposes of carrying out genocide".
"Its resolutions are already being implemented in various parts of the country where some governors are mobilizing people to counter protesters.
"It is also taking the shape of greater surveillance being conducted around our leaders whose homes and offices are being surveyed by people in unmarked vehicles," Karua stated.
The Azimio leaders said the withdrawal of their security personnel will not stop them from proceeding with this week's planned demos.
"As leaders, we have reached the decision that we shall fear not those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. Therefore, the withdrawal of security and the campaign of intimidation notwithstanding, Azimio confirms that the protests planned for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday next week are on as earlier announced."
The outfit went on to announce three places where their supporters will converge in Nairobi, for the protests beginning Wednesday.
They will meet at the Joseph Kangethe grounds, Kamukunji grounds and Jacaranda Grounds.
They also called on Kenyans to turn up in large numbers and bang cooking pots and pans.
The Opposition also called on motorists to park their vehicles wherever they will be, including on highways to support Azimio.
"We call on motorists to stop wherever they are on highways and roads, hoot and flashlights in support of this movement," they said.
