ODM recommends four nominated Kisumu MCAs to lose seats

Blow to four Kisumu MCAs as  Orange Democratic Movement party recommends the revocation of their nomination to the assembly.

The National Executive Council in a statement on Wednesday accused the four of gross misconduct.

The four facing uster are Caroline Opar, Kennedy Ajwang’, Peter Obaso and Regina Kizito.

"That the report of the Disciplinary Committee which has been looking into the conduct of some members of the party, elected and nominated on the party ticket be adopted but with amendments. The NEC recommended the revocation of the nomination of four Members of the County Assembly of Kisumu for gross misconduct," reads the statement.

The NEC convened by ODM party leader himself is coming almost a month since the renegade members appeared before the Sihanya-led committee to defend themselves from the accusations of gross misconduct.

According to the ODM constitution, a disciplinary process can lead to either reprimanding the member, censuring or fining the member.
