Interior PS Raymond Omollo will lead a commemoration of the Westgate attack in Nairobi City.

During the ceremony, he will launch special badges for private security guards at various malls in the city and later at the Westgate Mall.

In addition, security has been enhanced in the country as the nation marks ten years since the attack.

A total of 71 people died from the attack, including the four assailants.  Upwards of 200 people got injured. 

CJ Koome to address stakeholders during Nairobi Arbitration Week

Chief Justice Martha Koome will on Thursday deliver a keynote address during the Nairobi Arbitration Week at Radisson Blu Hotel in Upper Hill.

The Nairobi Arbitration Week began on Monday and has been organised by various stakeholders including the Nairobi Centre for International Arbitration (NCIA), Women in ADR (WADR), The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators ( CIArb), International Chamber of Commerce ( ICC), The International Development Law Organisation ( IDLO) and various law firms.

Ouster case against Ojienda, two MPs to be mentioned

Political Parties Disputes Tribunal is set to mention a case of ODM seeking the ouster of its several members.

They include; Kisumu Senator Tom Ojienda, Gem MP Elisha Odhiambo  and Lang'ata MP Felix 'Jalang'o' Odiwuor. The case is coming up for further directions.

Digital system for offenders applying for clemency to be launched

Power of Mercy Advisory Committee (POMAC) is set to launch a digital system for offenders applying for clemency.

Offenders will be able to apply for and track their requests for clemency online.

The Electronic Power of Mercy Petitions Management and Information System (ePOMPMIS) allows convicts serving their jail terms in various correctional facilities to submit their petitions through the platform.
