Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has vowed to serve the people of Kenya with utmost commitment and integrity.

Mudavadi who was reacting to the new responsibilities bestowed upon him by President William Ruto on Wednesday said he is fully aware of the job that awaits him.

President Ruto handed him the Foreign Affairs and Diaspora docket in a Cabinet reshuffle announced on Wednesday.

"I am fully aware of the significance of my dual role, and I embrace the opportunity with a profound sense of duty and dedication. I pledge to continue serving the people of Kenya and our country with unwavering commitment, integrity, and diligence I will champion, pursue, and protect the interests of Kenyans, both within our borders and abroad," Mudavadi said.

The Prime CS also thanked Ruto for trusting him with such a critical ministry.

"I am deeply honoured and humbled to have been entrusted by His Excellency President William Ruto with an expanded role in the reshuffled Cabinet," he said.

"I express my sincere gratitude to His Excellency for the trust placed in me by assigning me the additional vital role of the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs."

In the changes, Ruto moved CS Alfred Mutua to the Tourism and Wildlife docket.

Alice Wahome was named the new custodian in the Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Developments, Zacharia Njeru moved to the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation, while Peninah Malonza became the news CS, Ministry of East African Community, The ASALs and Regional Developments. 

Moses Kuria was named Ministry of Public Service Performance, and Delivery Management, as Aisha Jumwa took charge at the Ministry of Gender, Culture, the Arts and Heritage.

President Ruto also made reshuffles in at least eight State Departments.

He also made several key Ambassadorial and deputy ambassadorial appointments.
