Former Water Cabinet Secretary Alice Wahome on Wednesday decided to dump her vehicle as she walked to Ardhi House to take over her new ministry.
In the recent reshuffle by President William Ruto, Wahome was moved to the Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Developments.
The docket was previously held by Zacharia Njeru.
She was dressed in a black dress and white blazer. She was however not alone but with her bodyguards.
She was greeting other pedestrians as she walked and even cracked jokes with some.
"Chakula imeiva? Ntarudi tena," she was heard telling a person who was selling food on the roadside.
"Twendi Kazi!" she captioned the video on her X account.
"Hii ni hand over mzuri," a person in the background was heard saying.
Wahome has joined the list of other CSs who have already joined their new ministries.
The Investments, Trade, and Industry ministry was formally handed over to Rebecca Miano, the current CS to the docket by Moses Kuria, the new Minister for Public Service, Performance, and Delivery Management.
The new minister for East African Community, ASALs, and Regional Development, Peninah Malonza, handed over power to Alfred Mutua, who is now Tourism and Wildlife CS.
In the reshuffle, President Ruto expanded the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary to include the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, headed by Musalia Mudavadi.
Aisha Jumwa was given a newly created docket for the Ministry of Gender, Culture, Arts, and Heritage.
