Media personality Willis Raburu has resigned as chairman of the Nairobi festival committee.

In a notice released on Monday, Raburu cited the need for systemic change as one of the reasons he decided to quit.

Raburu explained that the decision to step down was rooted in his belief in the pressing need for systemic change to improve service delivery and leadership within the county.

"I have officially informed the leadership of the county that I will no longer be serving in my current capacity as chair of the Nairobi Festival committee," he said.

He insisted on the importance of examining existing systems to better serve the county and its residents.

“It is clear that to better serve the county and its residents, a more comprehensive look at existing systems is essential, which, to be fair, have already been instituted, and I wish them all the best in this regard,” Raburu said

The media personality noted his belief that with the right structural adjustments and a collective commitment to positive change, the county can pave the way for a brighter future.

Raburu expressed his gratitude towards Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja, noting that it was a pleasure to work with him.

"I remain dedicated to supporting the county from a different vantage point and will continue to work towards the betterment of our community," he said
