Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was on Thursday the chief guest during the graduation ceremony at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC).

The 92nd ceremony held at the Kasarani stadium in Nairobi saw 22, 695 graduates conferred with certificates in various areas of specialization.

A total of 870 will be awarded with higher diplomas, 12,917 diplomas and 8,908 certificates.

Also present during the event was Health Cabinet Secretary Susan Nakhumicha.

In his address, Gachagua said the graduation of healthcare professionals is a pivotal step towards achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC).

He also highlighted the significant role of the institution in elevating Kenya's healthcare system by training a large number of competent professionals.
