Barely a month after Nairobi Governor Johnsons Sakaja's aide was found, his legal team is back in court this time seeking to stop his arrest and detainment for charges that are yet to be disclosed.

Osman Khalif was found on November 21 in Dandora, Nairobi, in an unconscious state, after his wife filed a missing report around November 10.

The wife Yasmin Osman had claimed that he was abducted while coming from Sarit Centre at around 4 pm.

He was found after his team of advocates led by Eric Theuri lodged an application in court seeking to have the state produce him.

But in a fresh application filed before the Milimani Law court, Osman claims that on December 18 a contingent of plain-dressed DCI officers attempted to raid his office and arrest him. He says it was a private office residence.

According to his paper, the officers did not disclose reasons for attempting to cause his arrest nor did they disclose why they could not summon him to go to the police station.

He argues that the Inspector General of Police and the DCI have denied having anything to do with his abduction "yet they came with a picture of me taken the morning just before I got into the private office entrance further demonstrating that they are following us".

He now seeks an order restraining the IG from arresting, detaining or in any way interfering with his liberty unless and until there are formal charges against him.

"I'm being followed around, blackmailed, frustrated and humiliated yet even before this court, the state agencies have denied showing anything to do with my abduction or having a complaint case against me," says Osman.

Justice Chacha Mwita directed that he serve the IG and DCI who have been listed as respondents in the case with papers ahead of the heairng in May next year.
