Ruto's former school secures Sh190m for facelift

The government and Mpesa Foundation will partner in funding for the renovations.

Kamagut Primary School is set to have a new look after receiving a boost of Sh190 million.

This is after President William Ruto toured the school on Monday, where he pursued his nursery education.

State House states that the renovations will include new junior and senior schools.

The government and Mpesa Foundation will fund the Sh190 million.

Ruto toured the school accompanied by First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto, Education PS Belio Kipsang and MPesa Foundation trustee Michael Joseph.

The President, who born on December 21, 1966, in Sambut, Kamagut Location attended Kamagut Primary School.

He however transferred to Sambut Primary School and later joined Wareng Secondary School in Eldoret, before proceeding to Kapsabet High in Nandi County for his ‘A’ Levels.

Thereafter, he was admitted to the University of Nairobi to study Botany and Zoology.

In 2008, he graduated with a Master of Science Degree in Plant Ecology and in December 2018 graduated with a PHD in Plant Ecology from the same university.
