High Court Judge Justice Grace Nzioka has said that she lives without any fear after giving verdicts on court cases.
Justice Nzioka has won the hearts of Kenyans with her mastery of court cases and the simple language she delivers them.
Speaking on Thursday, Judge Nzioka said that she walks just like an ordinary Kenyan without any fear.
"Sijahofia hata siku moja, hata siku moja tena natembea kama raia, nataka kuisema wazi kwa sababu kama unafanya kazi yako na kuiamini hamna mtu umedhuklumu kwa kutaka kudhulumu sioni haja gani kuogopa kuwa raia,"she said during an interview with KTN.
This loosely translates to: (I don't have any fear, I walk just like an ordinary Kenyan and I want to make it clear. If you work diligently and you have no intention of harming anyone there is no need to fear).
She further added that she has faith in God because he is the greatest protector.
"There is no day that I have locked myself in the house because of fear of a judgment I made. I believe that I have followed the law and I'm okay with that," she said.
Judge Nzioka expressed satisfaction with her job saying she does it from her heart.
She explained that just like any other work she too learns from her mistakes.
"If you love your work and it satisfies you, believe that the content from school and your experience is shared with the public. If you have passion, you will have to wake up," she added.
Judge Nzioka has for years served as a judicial officer, rising through the ranks to become a judge of the High Court.
She has served in various divisions, including the commercial division and criminal divisions.
