Detectives have seized approximately 928 grams of suspected cocaine in an intelligence-led operation by the anti-narcotic unit in Lamu Central.
The operation, which led to the seizing of the substances estimated at Sh3.7 million, followed the heightened war against the sale, distribution and consumption of illicit drugs in the country.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said during the raids, several houses suspected to be illicit drug hubs were targeted.
It stated that in one of the targeted houses, a weighing machine and five pellets weighing approximately 85 grams were recovered.
