Mutua announces 1,000 driver jobs in Saudi Arabia

Qualified candidates will be required to pay a medical fee of Sh15,000.

Labour Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua has announced the availability of 1,000 job opportunities in Saudi Arabia for qualified Kenyan drivers.

Mutua took to his social media pages to disclose that a reputable company from Saudi Arabia is urgently looking for drivers for small vehicles, buses and trucks to work in the Gulf state.

According to the CS, qualified candidates will earn a monthly salary of 1,400 Saudi Riyals equivalent to Sh50,000.

Successful candidates will also enjoy the perks of free accommodation, transport, food and medical care upon landing the jobs in Saudi Arabia.

Interested candidates are required to possess an original driving license and valid certificates.

Mutua further outlined that interested parties with no passport should not worry as “expedited passport processing will be facilitated” to all selected candidates.

However, the CS stated that qualified candidates will have to pay a medical fee of Sh15,000 out of their pockets.

"Prepare in advance and, if possible, have the Sh15,000 medical fee ready. Successful candidates will travel immediately after completing their medical clearance. This is your chance to secure a job and better your future," Mutua said.

Mutua highlighted that the recruitment process will take place in three different counties, Nairobi, Nyeri and Mombasa counties.

Interested applicants from Nairobi County will be required to avail themselves in Kabete National Polytechnic on December 18 and December 19, 2024, from 8 am to 5 pm.

Candidates from Nyeri County will be interviewed at the Nyeri National Polytechnic on December 20 and December 21, 2024, from 8:00 am to 5 pm.

Those in Mombasa will be interviewed at the Kenya Coast National Polytechnic on December 23 and December 24, 2024, from 8 am to 5 pm.
