As the world celebrates mental health awareness month, Second Lady Pastor Dorcas Rigathi on Friday flagged off a 4.2 km walk to mark the same.
The walk was held in Gatanga Constituency, Murang'a.
It was themed 'Mental Health Awareness and Youth Empowerment'.
It was a collaboration of Emmanuel Empowerment Centre and Gatanga Catholic Parish.
Pastor Dorcas encouraged the collaboration of the clergy and community in the fight against alcohol, drugs, and substance abuse.
"Walking has become part of my family's daily exercise routine, and it is an honour to participate in a walk this morning to raise awareness for issues I am deeply passionate about mental health and youth empowerment against alcohol, drugs, and substance abuse," she stated in an X post.
