Kenyans are set to hold protests outside Parliament today.
The protest is dubbed Occupy Parliament.
The move by Kenyans is to persuade MPs to vote against the Finance Bill 2024
One of the organisers Boniface Mwangi said Kenyans from every part of the country will convene in various parts of the city before marching to Parliament.
He named the venues such as Ambassadeur/Archives, Nation Centre, Supreme Court, Skate Park, Taifa Road, Kencom Stage and City Hall Way.
The protests start at 11 am with Harambee Avenue being the main route.
MPs set to debate Finance Bill 2024
Members of Parliament are today expected to debate the Finance Bill 2024.
The debate comes even as Kenyans are set to hold protests outside Parliament.
They want MPs to vote against the Finance Bill 2024.
The voting on the Bill is expected to be on Thursday, June 20.
Ruto meets Kenya Kwanza MPs
President William Ruto is currently meeting Kenya Kwanza MPs.
The meeting is being held at State House, Nairobi.
Present in the meeting is Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
The meeting has brought on board all Kenya Kwanza affiliate parties.
CJ Koome to lead judiciary staff in mourning magistrate Kivuti
Chief Justice Martha Koome will today lead JSC commissioners, NCAJ members, Judges, Judicial officers, staff and stakeholders of the justice sector in mourning the later Makadara principal magistrate Monica Kivuti.
A special event will be held at Makadara Law Courts in mourning and remembrance of Honourable Kivuti who died in the line of duty.
Each court station across the country will hold a similar event.
