Classic 105 has once again been recognised as Kenya's best national English station.

The station has for many years remained the most listened-to English station, according to multiple surveys.

Classic 105 has now been nominated to receive the prestigious 2024 Starbrands award for the Top National English Radio Station.

This accolade is in recognition of Classic FM's exceptional achievements, stellar reputation, and immense appeal among its listeners.

“This award acknowledges Classic FM's unique vision and mission that have not only fostered remarkable business growth but also enhanced profitability. Your innovative strategies to succeed in the highly competitive local market have set a benchmark in the media industry,” StarBrands said in a statement.

The awards ceremony, popularly known as Starbrands Brands Awards 2024, is scheduled for July 29 at Sarit Centre, Westlands.

“This annual ceremony celebrates exceptional brands, industry leaders, influential personalities and stakeholders across the country and the East African region that have demonstrated remarkable performance, innovation and dedication within their respective industries,” said Starbrands chief executive John Benson.

“Noteworthy brands and professionals will be recognised for their outstanding achievements, fostering healthy competition and driving growth within their respective sector.”

The theme for this year's awards is "Business and Climate," highlighting the importance of sustainable practices and addressing climate challenges through responsible brand initiatives.

Founded nearly 20 years ago in Nairobi, it has a programming that focuses mostly on entertainment and music.

It is part of Radio Africa Group, Kenya’s fastest growing media house that also owns Kiss 100, Radio Jambo, Homeboyz Radio, East FM, Gukena, and the Star newspaper among other entities.

Starbrands Awards Council with the aid of executives from different brands continuously nominates companies throughout the year that have attracted attention through effective brand management strategy and innovative branding campaigns.

It said Classic 105 has demonstrated exemplary financial and business management practices that have significantly improved its creditworthiness and credibility, attracting more business opportunities.

“We commend Classic FM's strategic investments and collaborations, which have played a crucial role in expanding your influence and market reach. These partnerships have not only contributed to your success but have also positively impacted the broader industry and community,” Starbrands said.

It also praised the station’s adherence to good governance, business ethics, and fair business practices.

“Your dedication to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and transparency has earned you the trust and respect of all your stakeholders,” it said.
