President Ruto mourns Bishop Allan Kiuna

President William Ruto has joined the nation in mourning the founder of the Jubilee Christian Church Bishop Allan Kiuna.

In a message of condolence on Wednesday, Ruto described Kiuna as a "dedicated Christian leader".

He stated that Kiuna inspired many to follow the teachings of the Lord.

"To his wife, Rev. Kathy Kiuna and family we stand with you in this time of grief and mourning, and pray that you find the courage to persevere through this trying period," Ruto said.

"May he rest in peace".

Bishop Kiuna passed away on Tuesday at a hospital in Nairobi where he had been admitted, a family spokesman said.

Kiuna had been rushed there for attention after his condition deteriorated on Tuesday, the family friend said.

His friends and family congregated at his Runda home after news of the death.

Kiuna was diagnosed with multiple myeloma Cancer in 2018/2019.

Multiple Myeloma cancer occurs when there are abnormal plasma cells that build up in the bone marrow and form tumours in many bones of the body.
