Reverend Kathy Kiuna has recounted the last moments towards the death of her husband Bishop Allan Kiuna.

Kiuna passed away on July 9 at a hospital in Nairobi where he was undergoing treatment.

Kiuna had been battling multiple myeloma Cancer after he was diagnosed in 2018/2019.

Kathy described her husband as an epitome of strength who battled cancer with hope.

While eulogising Kiuna, Kathy said that her husband had a premonition of his death.

"He knew he was going but I think we could never accept it and God knew he cannot even try to come to me and ask whether he can go because he knows the answer. My best friend? I have known him more than I have been alone, I've been with him more than I have been alone. I don't know how to do life without this man," Kathy said.

"He said, I want to go home and he was saying in front of us, He said I want to go home and I told him he was already home. Because we were in the house, he said he wanted to go home."

Kathy said that after a while Bishop Allan could tell her that a host of angels were coming to take him.

According to Kathy, the family kept faith and resisted the premonitions until Bishop Allan stopped mentioning it.

Kathy prayed to God for strength saying that it was a tough moment for her and the family.

Bishop Kathy asked the Church to pray for her family through these trying times.

Kathy recounted how her husband introduced her to his mother at 24 years and while she was in shorts.

She said that Kiuna's mother immediately embraced her and told her son that she was the one.

"She had rejected everyone else until she saw me and said that I was the one," she added.

Kathy said that it has been a long journey since her husband was diagnosed with cancer.

She said that Kiuna was diagnosed in 2018, got a bone marrow transplant and was given a clean bill of health.

In 2021, Kathy said that Kiuna began feeling unwell and at the end of 2021 he was declared cancer free.

Kathy added that Kiuna started feeling unwell again in May this year.

She, however, said her husband did not give up and went ahead to preach although in pain.

Multiple Myeloma cancer occurs when there are abnormal plasma cells that build up in the bone marrow and form tumours in many bones of the body.

In 2019, Bishop Kiuna shared with the public his battle with cancer.

He expressed gratitude to God for seeing him through the challenging ordeal.
