President William Ruto has assured the country that all perpetrators of the Kware killings in Nairobi, will be brought to book.
Speaking on Monday during an inspection tour of the Nakuru bus terminus, Ruto said the government will ensure they are all charged to stop criminality in the country.
The President said this will also ensure children and young girls are protected from criminals.
"Our children and girls in Kware have lost their lives because of criminals," Ruto said.
"I want to tell the country those behind criminal activities against our children, against our daughters in Kware, all of them, the government will make sure they are brought to book and all of them are charged so that we can stop criminality in Kenya and protect our children, our daughters and all citizens," Ruto said.
As of Monday, the total number of bodies retrieved from the Kware dump site is 10. Six mutilated female bodies were recovered on Friday, two on Saturday and another two on Sunday.
The search for more is ongoing.
The Police on Monday said they had made a breakthrough in the probe into the killing of some of the people whose bodies had been recovered from a dump site in Kware, Mukuru slums, Nairobi.
A suspect was arrested Monday morning in Kayole where he was hiding, officials said.
The Director of Criminal Investigations Mohamed Amin is Monday July 15 morning scheduled to hold a press conference on the latest developments in the saga.
According to DCI, the suspect stays about 500 meters from the Kware dumpsite where at least ten badly mutilated bodies of women were recovered in an operation.
According to police, the suspect had confessed to the serial killings.
