Stop supremacy battles! Ruto warns Mt Kenya leaders

President William Ruto has asked Mt Kenya leaders to support county governments to deliver on their mandates.

Speaking on Saturday, Ruto warned the leaders against engaging in political supremacy battles.

He said their focus should be on serving the people to deliver on their campaign promises.

The President spoke as he hosted a section of Mt Kenya leaders for breakfast at State House, Nairobi.

The meeting came ahead of his development tour of Kirinyaga County on Saturday.

In Kirinyaga, Ruto is expected to break ground for the Sagana Industrial Park construction, and launch a Last mile connectivity project in Kang'aru.

The Head of State will also launch the Kiangungu TVET, as well as the Baricho-Kagumo-Gathuthuma-Kangaita road.

On Friday, the President was on a development tour of Murang'a County, where he launched several development projects including last mile connectivity and markets, among others.

After the development tour of Mt Kenya, Ruto will head to Nyanza where he will hold several development project launches in Kisii and Nyamira counties.

Earlier in the week, Ruto met elected leaders from the Gusii region ahead of his planned three-day visit.
