Kenyans have been urged to support government projects to achieve the development agenda set by President William Ruto's administration,  Government Spokesman Isaac Mwaura has said.

He said that when the president succeeds, the whole nation will also be successful, and any failure will be collective.

"We are the ones currently in charge of the government, but tomorrow it could be some other group of people. When you look at development, it is a relay; you have to pass on the baton to the next, so when you succeed in your part of the race, it also means that the other person will run better, faster, and more efficiently," he said.

Mwaura added that the direction has been embraced by many other successful countries in the world.

"When we talk about taking advantage of the Blue Economy and about a healthy population, it is only when we will be able to do so that we can reap the demographic dividends," he added.

The Government Spokesman called on Kenyans to join hands and embrace the Social Health Authority (SHA) programme.

Mwaura said that the country has made significant progress through concerted efforts in the last two years.

He said that with a united government and its people, the country will continue to achieve much more.

According to him, the government Bills in Parliament will now pass easily due to the broad-based government.

"Now we have the broad-based government, which means, we are more united in pushing the agenda because it can pass easily in Parliament, any legislative proposal."

Mwaura said the government has significantly reduced the cost of living, adding that much more can be done if Kenyans lessen the noise.

"Let us amplify what the government is doing, let's not move from one contestation to another, last week it was about the airport, this week it is about SHA, next week it will be another. We are making interesting caricatures of ourselves as opposers of anything good," he said

Mwaura added that those who are pushing for the opposition of the state projects have vested interests.

He called on Kenyans to look at the good emanating from the projects.

The government has rallied Kenyans to register for Social Health Insurance.

This is after government projects including SHA and the Adani-JKIA deal were contested in court.
