Reports indicate he is targeted for a criminal case involving land. Following the removal of his political godfather, he now feels exposed.
Insiders say the MP feigned sickness and left the country on Friday morning.
It is not clear when he will be back. However, those close to him claimed he would be away for several days.

The troubled man runs a chain of hotels in the Central region and could see his properties auctioned. Creditors have already moved to court seeking orders to sell some of the properties owned by the millionaire to recover some Sh200 million they are owed.

He had agreed to pay the money in four tranches within a year.
However, while the negotiations were done last year, the creditors have not received a cent from the politician.
