The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) common examination begins today.

The exams officially started October 22, where candidates have been taking their oral and practical exams for the elective subjects.

Today, they will write the English functional skills paper in the morning, while Chemistry Paper 1 will be administered in the afternoon.

On Tuesday, they will sit for the Mathematics Paper 1 in the morning hours, and later on in the afternoon write the English comprehension paper.

Education CS Julius Ogamba will be at Kibra DCC office to oversee the distribution exercise.

CPC delegation

President William Ruto is scheduled to hold talks with the delegation of the Communist Party of China (CPC) which is in the country on invitation of UDA party.

The team is led by Li Xi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline.

They will also visit visit Italy and South Africa.

Supreme Court Conference and Exhibition

Chief Justice Martha Koome will preside over the opening ceremony of the inaugural Supreme Court Conference and Exhibition.

The show is planned to mark 12 years since the inception of the Court.

Chiefs’ Climate Action Day

Interior PS Raymond Omollo to officially launch the Chiefs’ Climate Action Day.

The climate action day will be held on the first Friday of every month at the local level with each chief expected to mobilise the public and other stakeholders to plant at least 250 trees per location.

It is a strategy implemented by the state department of Interior and national administration to address climate change and implement the directive by President William Ruto of growing 15 billion trees by 2032.

EACC, Isiolo case

The High Court will today give directions in a case where the EACC is seeking orders to recover Sh7.22 million suspected to have been embezzled from the Isiolo county government in 2014.
