Open to young Kenyans aged 18 to 35 with diplomas or degrees, this program aims to equip interns with real-world skills and on-the-job training in diverse judiciary functions.
Interns selected for this non-renewable 12-month term will receive a monthly stipend of Sh 25,000 for degree holders and Sh 20,000 for diploma holders.
According to the JSC, “The Internship programme will offer opportunities for graduates to consolidate and translate the skills learned from their training into meaningful, relevant, and practical on-the-job experience.”
The interns will be deployed across various judiciary stations nationwide, with opportunities available in office administration, ICT, supply chain management, information science, and building services, ensuring interns gain exposure in areas relevant to their qualifications.
To qualify, applicants must meet several key requirements. They must be between 18 and 35 years old, possess a degree or diploma from a recognized institution, and have graduated from 2022 onwards.
They should not have any significant work experience in their field of study, as this program is tailored to those without prior work exposure.
Additionally, applicants must be proficient in computer skills and meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
The JSC also specified that applicants with previous internship experience in the government are not eligible, and interns must be willing to work at any court station across Kenya.
