A man was found dead on the walkway in the Green Park area, Nairobi.
The Green Park is within Uhuru Park and is part of a bus stop for some public service vehicles.
Police said members of the public on Thursday evening reported there was a body on the walkway.
The man seemed to have died hours earlier and was mistaken to be resting there, police said.
Police who visited the scene said the body of a male adult aged about 25 was found lying on his face in the main public walkway.
The body did not have any visible injuries when it was discovered, police said adding it is lying at the City Mortuary pending identification and autopsy.
The area is usually busy at such hours and it is not clear what caused the death.
Police suspect the victim had other complications that led to the incident but hope all that will be answered through a planned autopsy.
Elsewhere in Ndhiwa, Homa Bay County, a woman was found dead after a suspected murder.
Police said Linda Achieng Ajozi, 40 was found lying dead in her residential house in Kuja Two village.
The body lay in a pool of blood with visible cuts on her head.
The motive of the murder and the killer are yet to be established.
The body was moved to Manyatta Community Nursing Home Hospital Mortuary in Kobondo awaiting autopsy.
In Meru’s Iraru River, the body of a man was found floating on the water after a suspected murder.
Police said the body of Lawrence Kimathi was found after he had been killed and thrown into the water.
The team that attended the Wednesday evening scene said Kimathi went missing some days ago.
According to police, the body showed signs of trauma on the head and bruises on the body.
The body was moved to the Kanyakine sub-county hospital morgue for preservation awaiting autopsy.
No arrest has been made and the motive is yet to be established. A team of detectives is investigating murder in the incident.
Meanwhile, police are investigating a drowning incident in Kipsaina, Trans Nzoia County.
The body was found floating on River Sabwani by locals, police said.
The body with no visible injuries was moved to the mortuary pending identification and autopsy.
