The DCI said on Sunday the suspect was arrested by detectives based at Kilimani, Nairobi, and she's awaiting arraignment.

Her arrest came after a Chadian national made a report that the suspect stupefied him before robbing him of his belongings, including a wallet, after they made merry at two popular night clubs in Nairobi.

“In his November 9 report, the victim alleged to have retreated to his residence in the company of his catch having downed several shots of their favourite alcoholic drinks,” DCI said.

At the residence, the suspected alleged drugged the victim and stole $4,000, Sh10,000 and two mobile phones before disappearing as the stupefied host lay prostate.

“Conducting a forensic-led investigation, the detectives smoked the suspect out of her hide out at Hunters area within Kasarani subcounty, wherein they recovered the stolen phones that were positively identified by the complainant,” the DCI said.

Inside her house, detectives recovered several newly-purchased electronic items including a 75" Samsung TV worth Sh107,000 as indicated by the purchase receipts, and a cooker worth Sh55,000.

“The items, both which were purchased after the incident, are believed to be proceeds of crime,” the DCI noted.

“Further investigation uncovered two national identity cards - one Kenyan and one Ugandan - both bearing different names but the same photograph of the suspect, which raises serious questions about her true identity that is still under investigation,” the top detective said.
