Deputy President Kithure Kindiki will this Sunday grace a church service and the annual meeting of the Friends Church set to be held in Chenbuyusi High School, Navakholo Constituency, Kakamega County.

The DP arrived in Kakamega on Saturday night during which he interacted with a section of area leaders ahead of the Sunday service.

His first stop was in Ikolomani Constituency where he held deliberations with political and grassroots leaders.

Kindiki said the talks aimed to discuss how the government can hasten the delivery of services and provide the needed impetus for empowering citizens.

Ikolomani MP Bernard Shinali, his Navakholo Counterpart Emanuel Wangwe, Tindi Mwale (Butere) and Lugari MP Nabii Nabwera were present.

Elsewhere, Former Deputy President Rigathi is scheduled to attend a church service in Mwiki PCEA church in Kasarani, Nairobi County.

This is the first public gathering he will be attending after chaos marred a burial ceremony he attended in Limuru nearly two weeks ago.

The chaos forced him to cancel a church service in Molo, Nakuru county for fear of attacks allegedly planned against him.

The Former DP also cancelled a burial ceremony he was to attend in Bahati Constituency the day after he was attacked in Limuru.

The Limuru attack saw his vehicles damaged after rowdy youths hit the windows with stones.

Gachagua blamed the state for the chaos saying the withdrawal of his security sought to expose him to such attacks which he described as an attempt on his life.

Kiambu Senator Karungo Thangwa, Gachagua ally, was summoned in connection to the chaos.

He has denied any role in the events that transpired in Nakuru.
