President William Ruto is set to embark on a three-day development tour of his Rift Valley backyard, focusing on key projects aimed at boosting the region's economic growth.
The tour will include the inspection and launch of infrastructure projects, including roads, water supply systems, and agricultural initiatives.
His tour starts in Elgeiyo Marakwet where he is expected to launch and inspect various projects in Marakwet East and West constituencies.
He will also address residents in various centres.
Rift Valley, being a critical political stronghold for the President, is expected to witness heightened engagements with local leaders and communities as he emphasizes his government's agenda for equitable development.
KCSE results
The 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results are set to be released today, January 9, 2025, at 10 a.m.
Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos Ogamba will announce the results at New Mitihani House in South C, Nairobi.
The 2024 KCSE exams took place in 10,755 centres, with a record-high of 965,501 candidates sitting the exams, an increase from 903,138 in 2023.
The marking of exams concluded on December 13, 2024, after an extensive effort by examiners across 35 designated marking centres.
The release of KCSE exams comes a day after the Kenya National Examination Council released the 2024 Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) reports.
The eight nominees to the Public Service Commission (PSC) will be grilled today.
They will appear before the National Assembly's Committee on Labor from 8 am to 5 pm.

President William Ruto nominated Molu and seven others to the
Commission on December 20, 2024.
They are Mary Kimonye for the vice chairperson, while Harun Maalim, Mwanamaka Amani, Francis Meja, Irene Asienga, Joan Andisi and Francis Owino were nominated as members of the Committee.
