President William Ruto on Sunday attended an interdenominational Prayer Service in Cheptais, Mt Elgon, Bungom County.
The church service was also graced by Prime CS Musalia Mudavadi and Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetang'ula.
Bungoma Governor Ken Lusaka, senators and several members of the National Assembly were also present.
Leaders present rallied the region behind President Ruto's government saying they will push his agenda to the grassroots regions.
The church service in Bungoma came a few days after ANC folded up to merge with the UDA party in a key rebranding strategy ahead of the 2027 elections.
The merger saw the deputy party leader's seat in the UDA divided into two with DP Kithure Kindiki on word and Lamu Governor Isa Timamy on the other.
