The country's main political players are worshipping in various parts of the country with President William Ruto attending a Sunday service in Nairobi.

Ruto is accompanied by several Cabinet Secretaries and other high-ranking government leaders including Kajiado Governor Joseph Ole Lenku at The Global Cathedral in Nairobi.

Others are Defence CS Soipan Tuya and her Tourism counterpart Rebecca Miano and Nairobi Deputy Governor James Muchiri.

The President is later in the day expected to host five African Heads of State to discuss African Union reforms.

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is more than 300 kilometres away in Meru for a Sunday service.

Gachagua is accompanied by some of his key political allies to the church service a day after visiting Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua at her Kirinyaga home.

Gachagua is at the PCEA Imenti North Presbytery Meru township Parish, Meru County.

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka is also in a church service in Nairobi.

Kalonzo is worshipping at Eden Gospel Trumpet Ministry in Dagoretti North Constituency.

"The words of the Psalmist, written in Chapter 143, verse 8: "Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning," guide my thoughts as I prepare to join worshipers at Eden Gospel Trumpet Ministry in Dagoretti North Constituency, Nairobi County,'' Kalonzo posted on his Meta page.

On Saturday Gachagua and Karua agreed to work together ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The two made the announcement when  Gachagua visited Karua at her rural Kimunye home in Kirinyaga County on Saturday.

Speaking at Karua's home, Gachagua said Martha’s dedication to public service and tireless fight for justice had earned his respect.

"This is despite the fact that we often find ourselves on opposite ends of the political spectrum,'' Gachagua said.

Karua, who has rebranded Narc Kenya to the People's Liberation Party, invited Gachagua to join the party.

Eyes will be on Gachagua's remarks after meeting Karua.

The former DP is also expected to respond to his former boss after Ruto claimed that he was clueless before he was impeached last year.
