The ex-DP arrived at Karua's rural home on Saturday mid-morning accompanied by his wife Pastor Dorcus Rigathi.
The talks also came just hours after the Registrar of Political Parties gazetted UDA's intended removal of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua as the deputy party leader.
In a gazette notice dated January 23, Anne Nderitu was notified of the intention by UDA to replace Gachagua with Deputy President Kithure Kindiki.
"Any person with written submissions concerning the intended change by the political party shall within seven (7) days from the date of this publication, make their written submissions to the Registrar of Political Parties,'' the notice reads.
This is the first major political meeting Gachagua is holding with Karua since he was impeached as the country's second in command.
The meeting is likely to shape political discourse going forward as Gachagua seeks to consolidate the Mount Kenya region.
Karua was Gachagua's key critic ahead of the 2022 general elections having been former prime minister Raila Odinga's running mate.
She also emerged as the biggest critic of the Kenya Kwanza government after the 2022 polls and during the anti-government demonstrations that rocked the country.
The meeting also comes at a time when Karua's Narc Kenya is aggressively rebranding after ditching the Azimio coalition.
In Early January, Karua initiated the legal process to change the name of Narc Kenya to the People’s Liberation Party (PLP).
The latest move takes the battle for the country's Gen Z voters a notch higher with the population expected to form the bulk of 2027 voters in Kenya.
Statistics from the Kenya National Council for Population and Development showed in the 2019 census that 75.1 per cent of Kenya's population was under the age of 35.
It is, however, reported that Gachagua is set to launch his party in early February as he lays the ground for the 2027 general elections.
The former DP's allies have confirmed that plans to unveil the political vehicle are complete as Gachagua seeks to affirm his influence in national politics.
He also wants to consolidate his Mount Kenya heartland, which has become restive since his removal from office.
It is unclear if the former DP will acquire an existing party or unveil a newly registered political party.
