The Martha Karua-led People’s Liberation Party (PLP) is set to be unveiled today after rebranding from NARC Kenya.

The event to be held at Liberation House in Nairobi will bring together key political figures and civil society leaders among others.

President Ruto Coast Region tour

President William Ruto will today tour Lamu and Tana River Counties for a series of engagements as part of his ongoing tour of the coastal region.

He is also expected to visit Lamu West, Bura and Galole constituencies.

Among the activities lined up is the inspection of the ongoing gravity project, an initiative aimed at enhancing irrigation and agricultural activities in Bura.

Others are affordable housing projects and the launch of off-grid solar power in Lamu West.

Murkomen DCI tour

Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen is scheduled to pay a working visit to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters.

He will be accompanied by top security bosses.

Cheptumo funeral service

Parliamentary leadership, along with national and county leaders, will today from 8:00 am to 9:45 am, join the family and friends of the late Baringo Senator William Cheptumo for the viewing of his body at Lee Funeral Home.

Thereafter, they will proceed to AIC Milimani for a funeral service from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm.

Maendeleo Ya Wanawake Organisation press briefing

Maendeleo Ya Wanawake Organisation (MYWO) will hold a press briefing featuring distinguished women leaders and grassroots representatives who attended the historic 1995 Beijing Conference.

Gachagua impeachment case

Today, the High Court will give fresh directions on a case where former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua challenged his impeachment.

Judges Eric Ogola, Freda Mugambi and Antony Mrima are also expected to set a date for the hearing of all the consolidated petitions in the matter.
