[PHOTOS] CS Tuya witnesses firsthand pre-deployment training of soldiers

Defence CS Soipan Tuya has witnessed ongoing pre-deployment training for African Union Support and Stabilisation Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM) and rigorous preparation of Officer Cadets in Samburu County.

Tuya witnessed the issuance of final orders by Officer Cadets at Lerata Battle Camp.

At Larisoro Camp, Tuya witnessed a well-coordinated firepower demonstration involving both the AUSSOM pre-deployment troops and Officer Cadets.

The live-firing exercise showcased KDF's exceptional joint and combined warfare capability, reinforcing Kenya’s readiness to safeguard national security and contribute to peace support missions.

Tuya was accompanied by Commander Kenya Army Lt Gen David Tarus, the Assistant Chief of Defence Forces Operations, Doctrine and Training Maj Gen  Fredrick Leuria, Director of Military Intelligence Maj Gen Abdulkadir Mohammed Burje, Chief Instructor Kenya Military Academy Brig Peter Muthama Kimondio, Commander Artillery Brigade Brig Stephen Maina Huria, Commander Armoured Brigade Brig Joel Muriungi M’arimi, Chief of Training Kenya Army Brig Benedict Manjewa Mzee and Chief of Research, Doctrine and Training Evaluation Brig Roba Bonaiya Wario as well as senior officers, officers, Kenya Military Training staff and National Defence University-Kenya representatives.

The Kenya Military Academy (KMA) trains Officer Cadets from Kenya and allied nations including Mozambique, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, Egypt, Burkina Faso, Sierra Leone, and Malawi.
