

The oral interviews for the shortlisted candidates for positions of chairperson and members of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) commence Monday, March 24.
IEBC selection panel will begin the exercise with the candidates who applied for position of chairperson.
It will run from Monday to Wednesday.
The first day of the interviews will see four candidates Abdulqadi Lorot Ramadan, former Judiciary chief registrar Anne Amadi, former East African Court of Justice judge Charles Nyachae and Edward Katama Ngeywa grilled.
Candidates who applied for the positions of member will be interviewed from Thursday, March, 27 to April 24.
The venue of the interviews will be at the College of Insurance South C, Nairobi.
Lorot who is currently the Chief Magistrate in Naivasha Law Courts will be the first candidate to appear.
He will be followed by Ann Amadi, Nyachae.
Katama will be the last to be interviewed in the day.
Earlier, the Panel which is responsible for recruiting the nominees for appointment as chairperson and members of the IEBC released the names of shortlisted candidates.
According to the notices published in the dailies on Friday, March 14, the panel, chaired by Nelson Makanda, shortlisted 11 candidates for the position of chairperson.
Additionally, the panel shortlisted 105 candidates for the positions of members of the Commission.
The names of the shortlisted candidates were also published on the Website of the Parliament of Kenya.
The shortlisted applicants are required to present their original national identity card or passport, along with original copies of their testimonials and certificates.
They must ensure that these documents are returned to them before leaving the interview venue.
