Ruto leads leaders in mourning Beatrice Elachi’s son

President William Ruto on Tuesday led leaders in mourning the death of Elvis Murakana Namenya, son of Dagoretti North MP Beatrice Elachi.

In his message of solace, Ruto asked God to grant Elachi and her family strength to bear with the loss of her son.

“Be comforted by the word of the Lord in Psalm 147: 3,” the President said. “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

Elachi's party ODM also condoled with her over the loss.

“May God grant Beatrice Elachi and family the fortitude and strength to overcome the pain of losing her son Elvis Murakana Namenya. It is such a huge loss to Mheshimiwa. As a party we stand with her during this difficult moment of mourning and grief."

Shinyalu MP Fredrick Ikana Lusuli mourned the passing of Namenya saying, ”On behalf of my family and the great people of Shinyalu, I send my sincere condolences to my big sister and colleague Hon Beatrice Elachi and her family for the sad loss of their dear son Elvis.

“May God give you strength to endure,” he added.

Busia Woman Representative Catherine Omanyo stated that her heart goes out to Elachi and her family following the tragic loss of their son.

“On behalf of my family and the people of Busia county, I extend my deepest condolences. Pole sana,” she said.

Trans Nzoia Senator Allan Chesang said he was heartbroken to learn about the passing of Namenya.

 “My deepest condolences to her and her family during this difficult time. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” he said.

Kileleshwa Ward MCA Robert Alai said it was with a heavy heart that he extends deepest condolences to Elachi and her family following the tragic loss of Namenya.

“As the MCA for Kileleshwa Ward, I join the people of Dagoretti North and beyond in mourning this profound loss. Losing a child is an unimaginable pain, and my thoughts are with you during this incredibly difficult time. May you find strength and solace in the love and support that surrounds you,” he said.

Namenya's cause of death was not immediately revealed.
