Speaking at the 4th Season of Esports at the Charter Hall in Nairobi, the Prime Cabinet Secretary highlighted the bright future of esports, noting its potential to transform the economy.
He assured players that the government will do what it takes to support the sport.

He noted that esports is more than just gaming, as it integrates technology, innovation, and digital entrepreneurship, making it a critical sector for the future.
"As you play esports, I urge you to work with us so that skills like coding can be upgraded. As young as you are, you can transform the economy. Digital innovation is the future, and Kenya must be at the forefront of this revolution," he added.
Mudavadi also lauded a young innovator who developed the 'Hiru Game,' which conveys a conservation message by fighting poachers to protect wildlife.
