Kenya Power has listed areas in nine counties to experience scheduled power interruption on Tuesday, April 8.
The company said the interruption will facilitate system maintenance.
The counties to be affected are Nairobi, Nyandarua, Uasin Gishu, Tharaka Nithi, Nyeri, Laikipia, Siaya, Kisii and Kirinyaga.
The areas will face power interruption at diverse times between 8am to 5pm.
Nairobi
Parts of Nairobi will face power interruptions from 9am to 5pm.
They are part of Karen Road, part of Mbagathi Ridge, Cemastea, OLolua Nature Trail Primate Research, Gitamuri, and adjacent customers.
Nyandarua
Areas in Nyandarua will face power cuts from 9am to 5pm.
The areas include the whole of Kinamba including Muthengera, Kwanjiku, Mochongoi, Kabel, Tandare, Kamwenje, Oljabet, Gatundia, Karaba, Mutanga, Sipli, and Olmora.
Uasin Gishu
Areas in Uasin Gishu will face power interruption from 9am to 3pm.
They are Kipkenyo, Tuiyo, Leemok, Simat, Kaptinga, St. Teresa, and adjacent customers.
Siaya
Areas in Siaya will face power interruption from 9am to 5pm.
They are Nyumbani Shop, Anduro Primary School, Randago Market, Matera Secondary School, Tingwangi Market, Nyajuok Secondary, Nyanginja Safaricom Booster, Nyala Polytechnics, PapGori Market, Ojwando Secondary, and adjacent customers.
Kisii
Parts of Kisii will face power cuts from 9am to 5pm.
The areas include St. Peters Keberesi Secondary, Magenge Secondary, Riokindo Market, Riokindo Boys, Bouster, Nyangeti Secondary, Nyabitunwa Market, Nyabiore Secondary, Getenga Market, Mageche Market, Nyamesocho Secondary, Geteni Market, Mokomoni Secondary, Jerusaremu, and Nyamodo.
Nyeri
Parts of Nyeri set to face power interruption from 9am to 5pm include Kabiru-ini Market, Kabiru-ini Kwa Gachau, Kabiru-ini Secondary School, Kabiru-ini Coffee Factory, Kiamariga Market, Kiamariga Secondary School, Kiamariga Police Station, Kianjau Primary School, Kianjau Village, Nyana Hills, Njathe-ini Village, Githiringo TBC, Gikiriri Village, Kiamariga Hombe, Safaricom Boosters, Airtel Boosters, and adjacent customers.
Kirinyaga
Areas in Kirinyaga to face power cuts from 9am to 5pm are Kirinyaga University, Kutus Old Town, Gitwe Village, Karia Market, Kiamwenja Market, Ngaru High School, Karia Coffee Factory, Ngomongo Hostels, and adjacent customers.
Tharaka Nithi
Parts of Tharaka Nithi to face power interruption from 8.30am to 4pm include Ndagani Market, Fransaian Seminary, St. Lucy, High Mark, Tumaini and KwaJustin.
Laikipia
Areas in Laikipia will face power cuts from 8:30am to 5pm.
They are the whole of Doldol Market, Olkinyei, Kiwanja Ndege, Illipollei, Kaimanjo, Ol-Donyiro, and adjacent customers.
