Kenya Power engineer at work. /FILEKenya Power has listed areas in four counties set for scheduled power interruptions on Friday, April 11, 2025.
This is to allow for system maintenance, the company said in a public notice.
The areas will face power cuts at diverse times between 9am and 5pm.
The counties to be affected are Kisumu, Kisii, Nyeri and Murang’a.
Kisumu
Parts
of Kisumu will face power interruptions from 9am to 2pm.
Areas include Nyamasaria, Buoye, Rabuor, Namba Okana, Trida Factories, Jumbo Factories, West Kano Irrigation Scheme, Nyangande Market, Migingo Girls and Ahero Market.
Kisii
Areas in Kisii will experience power cuts from 9am to 5pm.
They are Kenyenya Secondary, Mochorwa Secondary, Mesabakwa Secondary, Nyangweta Secondary, Ekona Market, Nyamondo ATC, Mogenda Gesabakwa Secondary Market, Nyamaiya Market, Monianku Secondary, Suguta Market, Metaburo Secondary, Muma Secondary, Arura Market, Ochodororo Weighbride, Kitunja, Nyamondo and Nyabera Riagumo.
Nyeri
Parts of Nyeri will face power cuts from 9am to 5pm.
The areas are Kathageri Market/Secondary School, Thuci River Lodge, Kigumo Market, Mukuria, Kegonge Secondary and adjacent customers.
Murang’a
Parts of Murang’a will face power cuts from 9am to 5pm.
They are Rwathe, Kibage Secondary, Mukuria, Gacharage Market, Ruona and adjacent customers.
The areas are Njaina Primary School, Ngaita Girls, Ikindu Village, Ntuibu Village, Gituntu, Magundu, Karimba, Igangara Secondary, Ndumbini Primary School and Iriani.
