Lobby groups to give State of the Nation address

Civil society organizations are set to give a State of the Nation address.

The address will be made from the Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC) offices 849 Amboseli Road, Off Gitanga Road from 12 pm.

This comes days after several human rights groups called out the police department over how they handled the Butere Girls students at the National Drama and Film Festival in Nakuru.

The girls were protesting the arrest of their director, Cleophas Malala.

Police at some point used teargas to disperse the learners who had boycotted their performance over Malala’s arrest.
