Preparations for the third Annual e-mobility Stakeholders Conference and Expo are nearly complete, Kenya Power has said.

The event is set to be held at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi from May 4  to May 6, 2025.

In a statement on Wednesday, Kenya Power said the three-day event will bring together over 1,000 participants from the private and public sectors.

The aim is to explore innovations, policies, and investments that will accelerate the adoption of electric mobility in Kenya.

It will be hosted by the utility firm, GIZ Kenya and the Electric Mobility Association of Kenya (EMAK).

The conference will be held under the theme, 'Nurturing the growth of e-mobility in Kenya'.

Kenya Power's Managing Director Joseph Siror expressed his anticipation of engaging in discussions, insightful exchanges, and the chance to share innovations that will drive the growth of e-mobility in Kenya.

"Preparations for the third edition of the E-mobility Conference and Expo are going on well, with final touches expected by Friday this week. This year’s event is aligned with the needs and new trends in the industry," he stated.

"We are looking forward to great conversations and an opportunity to exchange notes, compare experiences, and showcase new innovations that will accelerate the adoption of e-mobility in Kenya."

The first day of the conference will commence with a 77-kilometre e-mobility parade in Nairobi and its environs, followed by two days filled with keynote addresses, panel discussions, product exhibitions, and live demonstrations.

It will feature an outstanding lineup of keynote speakers from the energy, transport and trade industries.

The sessions are aligned with the Conference’s thematic areas, which are technology commercialisation, sectoral policy outlook, infrastructure and regulatory progress, and research and development.

Additionally, the event will comprise a total of 40 exhibitions from various players in the electric mobility value chain, including vehicle assembling companies, battery swap service providers, financiers, and insurance firms.

The Expo will also offer members of the public a chance for test drives of the electric vehicles.
