A YOUTHFUL LAWMAKER is the talk among his colleagues for poor grooming. Sporting unkempt hair and poorly matched clothes that are never well-pressed, the man is often the odd one out in the company of his colleagues. During a recent appearance, the MP’s suit seemed to have been worn for long without washing. His white shirt appeared discoloured with unsightly spots. It doesn’t seem like the lawmaker ever uses a mirror.

A CONTROVERSIAL MP infamous for lacking self-restraint is a thorn on the side of parliamentary staffers. Why? The man, who is trying to appease the ruling party, double-parks his newly acquired German machine and inconveniences other legislators and members of staff. This is despite having been politely asked to use the space in a responsible manner to allow others to park. The politico ignores the security officers stationed at the parking with impunity. Staffers say they expect better from the politician, who often poses as a human rights defender.

STILL ON PARLIAMENT, residents of a county represented in the House by a fiery opposition senator claim the man is all talk but no action. They say their vocal leader is rarely seen on the ground and when he visits he seems unwilling to help even clearly deserving cases. Some say he keeps a snake in his pocket, to mean he never dips his hand there to get out any money. While the man is said to be good at making television appearances and generating clips that go viral on social media, he is mum on key issues that affect ordinary people in his backyard. Maybe mheshimiwa needs to engage his employers more.

A FRESH CONTROVERSY has hit a city hospital not new to negative publicity. The facility is said to have introduced parking fees. What is shocking, however, is that the money goes to a private individual’s number while the management explains that the parking machines are yet to start working. A small bird who paid parking fees that was directly credited to an individual’s mobile wallet whispered to Corridors of Power that the number has been used to collect the money for a while. Maybe someone should get to the bottom on this apparent racket.
