A SENIOR DIPLOMATIC official in one of
Kenya’s embassies in Europe is reportedly
causing havoc. The man allegedly operates as if
he owns the embassy and insubordinates the
ambassador. He reportedly hit the roof after the
ambassador presented his credentials in his absence yet he was on leave. Recently, he caused
tension after staff reportedly used a car allocated to him. He has also reportedly abandoned his
own house and wants the taxpayer to pay for
another house for him. Those in the know say
the official should smell the coffee as the man
who fronted his name for the big job long left
government.

A GOVERNOR FROM Western is allegedly
contemplating removing a member of his
cabinet who was proposed to him by a political
heavyweight. The governor, who has reportedly
come under siege from his rivals, is planning a
shakeup of his government to align it with the
political realities. The bigwig is reportedly campaigning for one of his opponents for the 2027
election. In a recent meeting, the governor made
it clear that he will not work with enemies who
are undermining him. The political heavyweight
has declared that the county boss should fire his
friend, threatening political repercussions if he
does not.

A CABINET SECRETARY has sparked tension at a key ministry after promising to deal
ruthlessly with all officers involved in corruption.
The CS, known for his energy and enthusiasm,
has forced some officers to report to work in the
early hours of the morning and leave late. There
has been no explanation as to why top officers
are required to leave work well past 9 pm or
report by 6 am. The CS’s handlers have told the
officers that their boss is constantly putting
them on standby for meetings at any time, and
they must remain in the office during these
hours for any impromptu meetings.

A VOCAL MP allied with a political camp
opposed to the government is keen on crossing
over to the government side but allegedly fears
he could lose his seat in 2027. He recently held a
meeting with some operatives who wanted him
to defect and join them during the highly publicised Mt Kenya tour. However, the MP reportedly
made a hasty retreat at the last minute and asked for more time. He argued that his cosmopolitan and urban constituency is opposed to the
move and he would need time to consult them.
He was allegedly asked to return facilitation
funds that were advanced to him. It is unclear
whether he has complied with the request.
