In Summary



    As of June 2024, mobile subscriptions reached a total of 68,892,777, according to data from the Communications Authority of Kenya.


    Safaricom leads the market with 45,077,491 subscriptions, followed by Airtel at 20,293,643, and Telkom with 1,478,668.


    Operators like Finserve and JTL account for 1,452,867 and 590,108 subscriptions, respectively.


    The majority of these subscriptions are prepaid, making up 98.2% of the total, while postpaid accounts for just 1.8%.


    Safaricom also dominates the postpaid segment with 1,139,548 users, while Airtel and Telkom have significantly lower numbers at 117,686 and 10,812, respectively.


    This trend highlights the dominance of prepaid plans in Kenya's mobile market.
